Cracked white sandstone vase n ° 5, unique piece from 2010, signed under the MARCUZ base 

Marc Uzan was born in 1955. He discovered modeling at the age of 18. His first steps were taken at the Centre d'Arts plastiques d'Aubervilliers. He opened his first studio in Paris in 1977 and in 1978 he went to live near Florence in Italy where he continued to train as a self-taught artist in contact with Salvatore and Stefano Cipolla. Then his itinerary led him to live, work and exhibit successively in France, Venezuela, Brazil and Switzerland. Since 1995, he has established his workshop in the Sarthe.
Its production consists of unique enamelled pieces, mainly made of stoneware or porcelain. He also makes shaped, stamped, rolled and molded shapes. His work is characterized by the richness of its enamels and the variety of its forms.
Since 1979, Marc Uzan has been invited to numerous exhibitions in France and abroad. His work has been the subject of numerous articles as well as a monograph published by the Revue de la Céramique et du Verre.
