Description

Closed bowl in white and red enamelled earthenware, year 2003, unique piece, signed under the base.

Solitary surveyor, his innate and curious instinct of appetite for human activities, for more than forty years led him in various varied fields ..... first from the peasant and worker world of his childhood spent in the Lorraine industrial basin, from ceramics initiated in the Vaucluse, from the humanitarian sector in a leprosarium in India in Jaipur, to the various artistic encounters practiced within his Mediterranean ceramics workshop. Man of dialogue and exchange, Salvatore likes to open his place to other artists. Together, ceramic creations were born following fruitful inspirations with Arman, Baviéra, Blais, César, Courtright, Diffring, Diracca, Eli, Galassi, JP Gault, B Pagès, Piano, Seund Jha Rhee, R Soardi, M Waite . As well as four-handed object books with painters, writers, poets, F Delville, Michel Bohbot, J Forneris, R Monticelli, T Reut, P Rosiu, A Scholtès. His works can also be found in the collections of the national ceramic museum of Sèvres, the municipal ceramic museum of Vallauris and Biot. His spirit of awakening open to all schools, having followed none of the precise ones, above all self-taught, confirms to Salvatore PARISI that truant school is a good "Royal Way" ...... to the opening of knowledge to the world and to people
