"A former student of the Versailles School of Fine Arts, he studied the art of stained glass at GRETA and then at the International Stained Glass Centre in Chartres, before perfecting his knowledge of the different glass shaping techniques at CERFAV in Vannes-le-Châtel.
Having come from the world of stained glass, Cyrille Morin is now making his mark in the field of glass paste sculpture, from which he draws all the mystery and all the magic.
Nature is his main source of inspiration. Between the sky and the water, glass can make visible and freeze in time all possible nuances.
The material then takes on the appearance of a piece of sky, at once transparent and infinite, opaque and muted, luminous and evanescent, with which the artist molds large pieces in the shape of clouds, astonishing in their sensual roundness and delicate lightness, but it can also take on the appearance of spilled water, powerful and vital, trapped in a frozen moment.
The artist plays with the mimicry of textures and forms, employing a perfectly mastered technique to take the viewer beyond reality, ultimately far beyond the clouds… »
