Large vase of Etruscan shape in mixed earth signed Pichon, circa 1890.
Among the entire production, the specialty of the Pichons remains undoubtedly the mixed lands whose exact date of appearance is uncertain. A unique mixture of colored earth in the mass giving the effect of a marble with multicolored veins, the oldest have only three colors: white, red and black. The green, obtained thanks to the addition of copper oxide, and the blue, resulting from the addition of cobalt fry, appear in the third quarter of the nineteenth century.
